Pantothenic acid forms part of the B complex - a family of water soluble vitamins. Each B vitamin has its own unique bio-functions though collectively they contribute to the metabolism of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. Vitamin B5 does however have a very unique and less well known benefit in that it can help buffer lactic acid through its intermediate function in the Krebs cycle (citric acid cycle). High levels of lactic acid can hamper physical performance, by reducing lactic acid levels, physical performance can be improved.

There are several different preparations of vitamin B6 that are used in supplements. Some are more effective than others. We have chosen to use Vitamin B6 as Pyridoxal 5'-phosphate (P-5-P).
